In exactly 24 hours time (from the time of writing this post), we’ll know whether Ramadan will be starting on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 or Wednesday, September 3, 2008 in Pakistan. Now that’s really not a very long time, and not at all enough to do everything required to prepare for this blessed month- but it’s still enough to get to know the virtue of Ramadan, get in the right mindset to make the most of it, and set some goals to accomplish during this month Insha’Allah. It’s quite an old video, but I just saw it recently- this guy (Scottish MP, for those who don’t know) knows how to talk quite forcefully, and talks clearly and concisely as well. There are lots of other videos on youtube, but this takes the cake!

The best part is when he says “What a silly person you are!” 😀

Check out the adventures of the blunderous NaseehaMan here! The comics are well written and really creative. Unfortunately, the author (Zuhair Munshey) passed away, and hence they’ve been discontinued 😦

It would be nice if someone with a good sense of humor (unlike me) and a proper understanding of Islam could continue this, or come up with something like it.

They were like stars in the darkness and on the unjust they were falling comets.

They are clear full moons with no clouds to disrupt visibility.

They all were “Effort” and “Striving” in character.

They were needed rain (Help) that fell on all.

They divorced life and lived as torches of guidance on its aspects.

They filled earth with peace, science and virtues.

They guided every misguided one who is from the guidance of Islam have lost course.

So, O my people when will we rebuild…When?…When?

What we have by our own hands destroyed…When?…When?

Boasting about Khabib and Al-Muthana will gain us nothing. (Khabib bin Uday – ِAl-Muthna bin Harithah)

injustice will not be removed from us by saying “We were this…We where that”.
